The Wedding of Diniece & Travis Mendes: Thursday, May 24, 2018
Hired by Diniece & Travis for the full-scale planning and execution of their wedding; I established a creative vision and delivered an event which made a most special of days all the more memorable.
Scope of work:
- Facilitated robust channels of communication between the couple, myself and
vendors / providers of goods and services.
- Venue scouting; selected The Green Building: 452 Union Street Brooklyn, NY
- Graphic design of Save-the-Dates postage mailers + e-Saves. Postage mailers
produced via hired NYC-based print manufacturer
- Design, implementation and management of wedding web page
- Design and space plan of venue; courtyard, main event space
- Sourced vendors and resources for all decorative components, rentals, wares
- Presentation of design schemes
- Sourced caterer, arranged tasting appointments, established contract
- Brokered all vendor / services contracts
- Full floral design: table arrangements, Bride/Bridesmaids bouquet, Groom/ Groomsmen boutonniere. All flowers purchased wholesale -
All arrangements hand-assembled by myself and a self-directed team of four.
- Designed and constructed ceremonial setting and additional structures
- Lead team in loading of venue production components for delivery and roll out
- Day-of roll out and installation of venue; managed install team
- Coordinated all vendor deliveries and pick-up
- Day-of event management until 2am close of venue / next day breakdown
